Tony and Eric's Excellent 2007 Adventure: PART 3 - MIAMI, FL
Finally! Miami! Sorry these took awhile to get up - but it has gotten really busy at work... No map this time. But we can compare Miami to the characters of the third most famous show ever set in Miami after CSI: Miami and Miami Vice:
BoA
America's little Dubai
Gorgeous Freedom Tower
Very cool
Florida's tallest - the Four Seasons Miami
The Miami River area
Downtown's historic shopping district - in need of renovations
Burdines - now Macy*s - flagship store downtown. It looks and smells like a warehouse.
Gorgeous renovation to lofts happening at the Security Building
the-new-tony-detroit's self portrait
The park south of Bayside Marketplace reminds me a lot of Detroit's Hart Plaza
sorry about the lack of clarity - I was driving
Miami Beach
Deco be good.
Dusk sets over the city as we prepare to leave for Savannah.
Eric can post his perceptions of Miami later today or tomorrow I'm sure! Next up is the last installment of the trip - the jewel of the South - Savannah, GA.
Deco - Bravo. The panos are beauts. So many scrapers going up. Are many of those condos going to foreign folks who vacation in Miami? Fun tour TNTD. Is there a part 4?

Get off my lawn you whippersnappers!!!!!
I DO love Miami! Was a little unimpressed with Brickell, but admittedly didn't really get a chance to see it more intimately. The Beach was supurb though, and I must go back there someday!!
Yikes, that guys and his boy friend need to lay off the gym for a while... holy shit his arms are Huge.
Nice shots, dude I have said it before and I will say it again, downtown Miami creeps me out

"Dazzled by the needles of light stitching the water, I turned to watch him watch them. I noticed his eyelashes were reflected in his eyes, like awning in windowpanes. As I tried to make sense of that reflection, I found I could not look away. His irises were brown, clouding into orange with brighter flecks around his pupils. Then it became as important not to look as to look, I feared I would be lost in rush of bronze motes."
We drove a freeway loop and at one point on the west side, we witnessed the aftermath of a motorcycle accident where some helmetless guy whiped it merging the onramp. The bike was crumbled and the guy laying on the freeway was a bloody goo. Scary stuff!
Another fwy pickeroo.
Causeway to the BEECH!
THE BEECH!!
Miami Beach Peeps.
I could live on the beach!
Side street
Sunbathing at the Police Station.
I discovered hanging out by yourself in parking garages is the cool thing to do in Miami. I'm sure the fad will catch on!
