Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!!

Sooooo happy right now! So proud of my boys in blue! You guys earned it! Beat the odds and all the haters out there.

Had a quick browse of Rider Fan Forum.....wow so much vitriol and poor sportsmanship comments towards, the team, our fans and city. Just confirms my thoughts of Sask fans not being gracious.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers..........the 2019 Grey Cup Champions!!!

I was there as well in 1990 and can just imagine the celebrations going on there right now. Congrats to the Blue Bombers on becoming CFL champs and for rewarding the Winnipeg fans for their support and loyalty over the years to such a classy organization.

A big key to Winnipeg winning was playing the best competition the past few weeks with back to back wins against Calgary and then beating the Riders our team was sharp and hungry after playing the best competition. Where as Hamilton only had to play Edmonton last week at home and was basically on auto pilot the past 6 weeks or so having wrapped up the east division so early really hurt them I think.

Also Hamilton players looked really small and weak compared to the Bombers physically I think and it showed with how many of their players were knocked out of the game almost every third play whereas not one Bomber left the game due to injury. Bombers just wanted it more and their coaching staff is amazing with Lapo Hall and O'Shea calling one hell of a game!

Great half time show with Keith Urban CFL. They should rotate with big Country and Rock stars for the half time show as they are more what football fans typically are in to and its way better than the mandatory Canadian content half time disaster that was Alicia Cara or whatever her name was a few years back was just terrible. If they spend money and get an act like Garth Brooks or Motley Crue the energy level they bring to a game is much better and better ratings probably too.

A big selfish reason for me half-going against the Bombers was that it makes my Lions Harris jersey obsolete...congratulations Winnipeg!!

Congratulations Bombers!
They just seemed to want it so bad today - came to play right from the start and didn't let up. Played great in all phases and dominated on the lines.

Hope Hamilton can win it soon - they have a good looking team so I'm sure they will be contenders again next year.
BTW - has THF been awarded a Grey Cup yet (I've got 2021 in my head) ?

Yes McMahon is showing it's age - I really hope we do have a new, or at least majorly renovated, stadium the next time Calgary hosts.
One thing I was happy to see is they added lights to the towers that support the suspended speaker cables so that the endzones were better lit. I've been wanting them to do this for years so I hope they keep them.

Peace out.

So disappointed by the Ticats' effort after a great season, but anything they did was quickly countered (nevermind the miscues being taken to Winnipeg's advantage... could have been worse on the scoreboard). And the Cats lost the battles along both sides of the line of scrimmage, but especially vs. the Bomber D-line.

Solid win by Winnipeg. Happy Grey Cup to the team and fans! Well earned, and do enjoy it!

Gee Pinus, I've been on the Bomber bandwagon since last Sunday evening!

You do realize that a fan site does not reflect every fan!
Great win for the Bombers, Winnipeg, and Manitoba! Next year should be interesting with all the new QB's that stepped up!

Your comment reminded me of Banks, the guy lives up to his nickname but he does not seem like the most durable player out there. If he was a bit more robust he would really be off the charts.

Then you've got guys like Streveler who remind me of the Terminator, just unstoppable no matter what you throw at him.

And yes, hats off to the Bomber coaches for attaining pretty much coaching perfection through the playoffs.

Speaking of coaches, gotta mention what a standup guy Steinhauer is. He heartily congratulated O'Shea at centre field with an absolutely beaming smile, 100% good vibes from him even though you knew it had to be killing him. And the emotional interview he did shortly after that confirmed that. Total class act.
