Paris is not 2 million people

It's only the historic center that accounts for 2 million, the district of la dfense, for example, is located outside this center. If you take the whole of Paris urban area, it accounts for 12 million people.

Making it the largest city in Europe

well i agree, that paris has 2 million within its borders. But maybe (i would, if i could)paris should be split in the diagram into La defense, nanterre etc. just like emporis.com

Maybe we could specify that it's city borders so no one thinks we're incorrect or something.

Maybe because the skyscrapers listed for Paris are not located in the city with its 2 Million inhabitants.

Please don't split Paris.
It is so easy to miss important buildings that actually are in La Defense, pretty close to central Paris for people who don't know Paris and it is hard to get an overview of all buildings in La Defense and the whole Paris if they are listed separatley as towns that people hardly know about.
To be honest La Defense actually is like one large district in Paris and not 3 small towns and I think most people consider La Dfense as a part of Paris.

The Paris limits really don't compare with other cities of that size, the urban structure in France is completly different. Paris is like Inner London, not greater London. There's 3 times more "cities" in Paris region than in the UK. The concept is just completly different. Look at this link :

http://www.demographia.com/db-lonlanypar.htm

I think to reflect reality, the Paris diagram should be based on the core they define there, which consists in Paris and the "1st crown". Some people can pretend city limits are better comparison, but it's just hypocrisy and oyu know it, it's obvious it doesn't reflect reality, and that won't help the diagram to be easier to understand (like it didn't help Emporis, as if people curious about Paris skyscrapers would look in Puteaux, Courbevoie, or Nanterre...).

That debate is old anyway, but it's still stupid.
