I think Spice can be moved to Recently Completed... The Villa on Agricola is about 90% done and I think it should be moved as well.

Done and done

I've also added in the Bayview Condos, and I will put the convention centre on the list tonight.

Cheers. 2009 is shaping up to be a good year for approvals and construction.

I was just having a look over at the list and I am astonished by the massive amounts of Downtown developments there are.

Theres 7 proposed, 5 approved, and 3 u/c. Now if we could only get half of those under construction

Well, atleast something is still proposed for the land, even though it is an inferior proposal.

273 I'll probably move soon since it looks like the white wall thing isn't coming down,

Hampton I'll move on the 1st of April or so since it supposed to open in April sometime,

and Crown Bay was still defenitely under construction the last I was by it about a month or two ago.

You know, it'd be really cool if someone with the ability did a render of the potential future skyline of Halifax, including all the proposed developments, like UG, International Place, 1595 Barrington, etc.. You know, all the ones that would truely make an impact on the skyline.

...I mean, since it probably won't happen in real life, it would at least be cool to see on my computer screen

There's a rendering with a couple of the proposals on it floating around somewheres in this forum but it was only of a small area and its outdated by now.

Just so everyone knows I changed the first post a bit. Due to some government projects spanning many districts I created a sub-category for government funded projects which instead of being organized by district are now organized by what government is mainly behind the project (HRM, Prov, Fed, Metro Transit).

Just to let everyone know I added in some links at the end of the list that I feel are related to the Compilation Thread.

Ufortunately for now they all seem to be "my" threads but if anybody has anything they feel could be added please tell me. It might include construction themed photo threads, lists, maps or something I haven't thought of yet.

You're effort on this forum is much appreciated. I visit every couple days and it's really convenient to have all development news in one spot. You really put a lot of work into this forum and don't get enough praise for it.

Thank-you "Spitfire75"

It's nice to hear people actually use this thread for information.

BTW anybody is welcome to make any suggestions/updates for this thread or the other five or so lists I have on the go right now. I'll add it in as soon as its requested.

P.S. I added in Wayne's website (see the neighbourhood map thread). If anybody has any good external websites they can think of I'll check them out and add them if they are appropriate.

Waterton is mostly interior I would say, they still are missing the final cladding on the upper 2 floors on the upper north side and elevator shaft. There is no action on the second building, the floor slab is complete on the main level, but that because it is the roof of the first level of parking. The columns don't have rebar extended any farther which would be necessary to build the rest of the building.

The dal management building is interesting. The columns are being poured on the south-west corner for the first floor, but the north-west corner does not have the foundation walls poured yet due to the tightness of the site, the columns are poured, but have been backfilled around. I could be wrong, but I believe the foundation will extend around this area. They seem to be using precast slabs for the floor that have styrofoam balls to minimize weight. These panels are about half the final thickness and have built in rebar mesh and more concrete is poured on-site to finish the thickness. Its an interesting method that I've never seen before.

It's still a long ways from being complete...i've been working on it for a week now and when i first arrived based on the outside i expected alot more to be done inside. All they have done in there on most floors is the steel studs with the exception of the upper floors. As for the 2nd building its not gonna start until the 1st is completely done.

Thanks you two

I guess I'll leave the two as they are for now. I thought the Waterton would be completed by now for sure.
