Wouldn’t panic just yet. There are a number of explanations. I was thinking if they are doing a major pour over the weekend, the workers could be taking their “weekend” middle of the week. I was also wondering if the GM strike could have something to do with it but I couldn’t think of a way.

Keep checking the contractor and other web sites.

They were suppose to do a major pour this coming weekend. They also did a major pour the weekend to last. And I do hear night time work tonight.

They removed the blue crane in the last day or two. This morning they were taking out a forklift. I couldn't see any other activity at either of the two job sites.

I'm starting to realize how much of an emotional investment I've had in this project

Do not lean on anything earthly, for everything from this world will deteriorate and crumble. Instead, lean on the truth and love in your heart

Foreclose, and then have Salesforce purchase and develop the property?

We don’t even know what’s going on. Look for the lines of cement trucks this weekend.

My wife talked to one of the construction supervisors this morning (they have an office where she works). He says construction is still on and they are all back to work on Monday. We shall see!

Some kind of delay in that may be why no one was working much of this week. If they are ready for the pour but it can't happen on schedule, there might be little for the crew to do until it does.

I had been thinking along these lines too, but I think we would have to assume that the supervisor's comment (david_h's post above) that everyone would be back to work Monday was misinformed in this case. frustrating not to know what is going on, and the updates, at least as of right now, are no help:

August 23, 2019 Update
This weekend we will be erecting the second of our three tower cranes here at Oceanwide Center. This will be contained within our site and we expect little to no disruption of normal traffic. Activities will continue 24 hours a day on the our site as we prepare for our next major concrete foundation pours for the First Street tower. These concrete pours are scheduled for 9/7/19 and 9/21/19. We will provide additional details on potential traffic impacts as we get closer to these dates.
pfft.

Both tower sites are buzzing with activity today.

I spoke to one of the workers and he said the pour was delayed to this upcoming weekend.

We’ll see.
