It may just be the angle, but the left is the Stewart (Circles on Central) and the crane to the right of the photo is the Link. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)!

Correct. That's why I posted that photo to show the positions and impact to the skyline these 2 towers will make. Wait until the Link crane is 130' taller than Stewarts (Links crane will eventually reach 400')!

Not sure if anyone noticed or was distracted by all that nauseating banter on the development forum, but they jumped the crane today.

Link is going up quick. I think the elevator shaft is nearly 5 floors already and they are working on floor 2 of the garage podium. I love this development

Snapped a quick pic from the 11th floor of my office to show the current height of the crane and the position the Link will be in when viewing from the North. Link will fill that small gap between AZ Center and Sheraton nicely

I'm digging the speed with this one!

According to the webcam, looks like they're starting on the 6th floor.

Was talking to the construction guys during my lunch. The tower crane should be getting lifted after they pour the next level. I'm hoping this weekend, but most likely, next weekend.

Looks like the garage portion is topped. Moving on to the residential portion

I am sure it is due to starting on the living portion, but there has been no upward progress for many days. Why are they spending so much time on the next level? They are pouring tons of cement and constantly working, but what is taking so much time to get to adding the next level. I am not impatient, but the camera can't show what they are doing. Just curious?????

Lol, I've noticed that too. I am guessing they are completing the garage portion a little bit. I walked by yesterday. They are currently installing a service elevator on the Western side. The jumper also needs to be moved up before they can pour the next level. I was told they are supposed to jump the crane to full height soon, so maybe they are just prepping up for it.

Im not a construction guy but Id guess the living portion is much more complicated and requires more specialization and prep than the garage portion.

Got curious and walked by during lunch. They told me the project got put on hold and they are finalizing current operations until the economy does better

OK, bad joke. They are currently pouring the top level of the garage/first level of the residential. All is well

I was hoping for just a new garage anyways. Downtown doesn't have enough of those.

I agree, all of this highrise activity is destroying our rural desert vibe and blocking our Mountain View’s.

We should do something to stop the destruction of our Wild West history
