Forms for the footing are already going in. They will need 50% occupancy before they can start on the second building.

What building are you referring to?

There are two identical adjacent buildings planned for this development at 2255 Mountain road. I assume they will wait to start the second one.

They didn't wait for the second building's services, going in today and makes a lot of sense. Why cut the road twice. Once the asphalt is down they'll be able to restripe that section of Mountain road back to 4 lane.

The tower crane for 2255 Mountain Road was installed today. I noticed it passing by on the TCH this afternoon.

Queensway

Does anyone know why land is getting cleared around Queensway Blvd off of Mapleton (TCH)?

I just saw that today - very prominent lot with great visibility from the TCH. Good spot for anything commercial or hotel related, but who in their right mind would build anything like that now in the middle of a pandemic, and with reduced demand that will last at least 2-3 years????

Yes, I drove by the new Day & Ross facility in the Caledonia Industrial Park this weekend, and it is fully operational.

I'm pretty sure Kent wants their new store open by late next year, so it would seem reasonable that they will start construction this fall.

They are pouring the forms at 2265 Mountain road and they have put that black slur all over Montain road from there to the top of the hill. What a mess. Now they will be re-striping the new lines. Hope they get it right this time.

The west end of Mountain Road as far as Ensley Drive is now back to a full four lanes, just as God (and not the cycling lobby) intended.
