This tower will also feature a AGV parking garage system which will be the first in Texas.

All you have to do is look out the Canopy window and push the button on your phone 😉

But I’ll try to take some more for you guys.

Thanks for the update TxDev. How is the Canopy coming along? Have some interior shots you can share with us? Also, how about the building on the other side of the Floodgate..what work are they doing to that one? What will it be?

That's the Witte Building. Looks like the balconies on the river sides are finished. I think they're restoring the front facade. It needs a lot of work, most of the trim was removed. I believe the plan is to have dining on ground/river level, residential above, maybe some office space, I forget.

I think the coolest part is they removed the ground level on the west side of the building to have more river level area. Check the before shot https://www.google.com/maps/@29.4247...2!8i6656?hl=en
and the in progress shot https://www.google.com/maps/@29.4247...4!8i8192?hl=en

oh that's awesome. Do we have a thread going for that building? I'd love to see some renderings.

This forum's really just for new construction, not restorations, but maybe a restoration thread would be a good idea. Anyway, here's a couple links about the Witte Building, with renderings.

I forgot about the public elevator installation on the west side of the building. That's pretty cool.

Thanks for the links.

I'd say just start a thread for this building so people can keep up with the work on this building (Witte). I'd much rather have a link for the building I want to follow than to sift through a whole bunch of restoration projects (in the same way that the airport now has its own thread instead of being lumped in with all transportation projects).

drove by yesterday and they were pouring a lot of concrete down into the hole. Assuming it's for the piers that TxDev had mentioned previously.

On second thought, I actually would like to sift through restoration projects in San Antonio.

What was the movie (naked gun, maybe?) where they cut from the sex scene to show an oil rig pounding up and down?

This reminds me of that
