Did you look at the latest render in the NewYorkYimby article? It’s basically the same height as the buildings to either side.
And, of course, NY is not Europe.

What "small buildings"? The new building isn't taller than neighboring, 100+ year-old buildings.

Lower Fifth Avenue has been high density, with relatively tall buildings, since 1920 or so.

Thanks for posting, Chris. I couldn’t copy and paste it. The PoS that’s being replaced was the sole blight on this otherwise stunning stretch of Fifth. The architecture around here is stunning.
