Yes! Sorry for the lack of updates, but progress is in fact being made. I've been designing blocks as well as numerous layout plans. While I'm going to refrain from posting screenshots for now, I am in fact, still building the city.

New building!

Actually, this is just one of about seven buildings I've built since the last update, but I'll just give ye a taste of one for now. Still holding out for a new computer so I can compile this bastard into one model.

Contrary to the last page, this is the REAL Wells Fargo Tower for Boise. I'll have to find a new name for the old Wells Fargo tower I made.

Meh, why not...here's a shot of one side of a block I finished, though this was done way long ago.

Shot of a work in progress I've spent about 6 hours on so far. About 50% complete so far.

Well, my plan is to build a central plaza in the middle of the block, and have an outer ring of 2-3 story buildings with a similar architectural style to that of the condos. That's the plan so far anyway, haha, let's see if I can successfully implement it the way I envision it.

And I also predicted designing the roof would take up a lot more effort than it actually did. I just finished the top levels and roof, so now I'd say I'm at a solid 75-80% done now. I'll post a screenshot of the current update if anyone is interested, and when I'm finished, I'll export it to Kerky and render it!

Sweet!! The architectural goal of Pierpont is to maintain a style that is a combination of styles found in Seattle, Portland, and Boise.

Nah, I've built a 35-ish story building that I have yet to show, but will in the next day or so. That will be the tallest building in Pierpont when I compile it all together.

Oh BTW, I totally just realized that a building texture you used in Keystone is also a texture I made myself for San Felix from L.L

The Wells Fargo thing, I thought it looked familiar.

Pierpont Tower

Pierpont Tower, the tallest building in the city! Roughly 35 floors, completed in 1994, Pierpont tower is a mixed use building that was part of a city redevelopment plan to energize the core of downtown with new nightlife, a better resteraunt scene, and a host of other improvements that made downtown the best part of Pierpont.

The redevelopment plan was dubbed "The Diamond" and included in it was Pierpont Tower, a very large central plaza for "Kicks After Six", a free weekly concert, food, and fun mini-festival held every Wednesday from 5:30-10:00pm; and a large fountain in the middle. Two office towers grace the northeast and northwest corners of the lot, and on the southeast corner sits a lovely park. (for now )

I haven't finished the Diamond yet, but it's under construction. All buildings located in the diamond are, however, complete. I'm also thinking about building a different crown for Pierpont Tower, I feel like something doesn't look right about it. What do y'all think?

One Capital Plaza

One Capital Plaza is the building that houses the regional headquarters for Chase Bank. Completed in 1996, it rises 25 stories. (Note, lot isn't fully complete yet, but the main structure is)

Compiled

To my complete astonishment, my computer was actually holding up long enough for me to compile all the models I've built so far into one city, and I was even able to take a few screenshots before Sketchup crashed on me! Woot! But this won't be the final layout of the city. What you see here was just me throwing it all together without too much thought.

Still, I feel like something is missing, but I don't know what. I still have a convention center planned and at least one tall Art Deco building to build, as well as tons of ideas for future projects, but I think I need to build more bland buildings as a sort of filler for a little while. What do y'all think?

That awesome Boise! Pierpont is excellent, and the plaza is awesome too
is it residential or just offices with balconies?

not sure that in-ground pool would work there though
