When I was home in December I noticed a site under construction at the Washmill Lake Overpass. It turns out its at 110-112 Greenpark Close and I managed to stumble across the Kijiji Ad which led me to their tidbit on the Starboard Place website; 112 Greenpark Close

The site has approval for a seven-storey building and the rendering in the ad looks a lot like Starboard Place. Occupancy is slated for September (2013).

The Irving Big Stop off of exit 7 in Enfield is almost complete. The new building is having exterior work done on it currently.

This is outside of Halifax's jurisdiction but since it is still within the commuter-shed I will throw it in here;

STEWIACKE RIVER CROSSING - TOWN OF STEWIACKE

This new planned development will be built between Stewiacke Town Centre and Highway 102 (Exit 11). It will consist of 26 commercial buildings (including a grocery store, a bank, and a hotel), and 284 residential units (24 seniors condos in a 6-storey building, 4-36 unit buildings, 28 townhouses, 20 villas, and 68 single-family houses). Phase 1A which is 35 single-family houses is under construction right now.

Concept Plan

That's quite an ambitious little (I suppose not so little..lol) project given the area, I find the commercial buildings layout a little odd.. but whatever they want to do I suppose!

644 BEDFORD HIGHWAY was approved by Northwest Community Council last night. According to Councillor Outhit a sidewalk will now be built in front of the building. He's going to push for this to be standard practice along the road and for a third lane to be built.

This application is still moving through the motions. Apparently some parts of the proposal do NOT meet the B-L-T MPS/LUB. An update will be provided to H&WCC next week ;

We should know the fate of 286/290 Herring Cove Road in the next few months. A staff report has been drafted for Regional Council.

A sign has gone up on St Margarets Bay rd, near the Beechville Irving advertising for the project. It provides a URL for www.lovettlake.com, but the site isn't online yet.

Lovett Lake by Armco was approved tonight at H&WCC. There was some opposition regarding some unmarked graves near the Beechville Baptist Church. Armco plans to start housing construction in early 2015.
