A crew was doing some sort of work under the sidewalk in front of 165 James earlier. Looked like some sort of electrical junction below the sidewalk. Likely preparing to remove the billboard there.

According to Steve's Instagram this will be started in the spring. Core Urban doesn't mess around, so I suspect this will be the actual beginning. Glad to see Phase 1 nearly complete too, or at least the exterior.

Posting again, to mention they announce the completion date of Spring 2023. Pretty quick turnaround expected!

If that's the case groundbreaking should be in the next couple months. These guys are great.

I noticed this latest render of the building on Augusta actually has a slightly wider field of view than what we had previously. Posting here for the record.

I still think those solid black panels on the building far right that they are just finishing up is a horrible waste of what could have been stamped metal designs similar to the courthouse building.

Should there be a separate page for this building?
26 Augusta Street.

I think it's fine to leave it as one. They share a parking garage and are getting built at the same time.

One key difference is that what they're calling "Phase 3" will be completed Fall 2023 which is a bit later than "Phase 2" on James S.

Regardless it's all one development. Heck I'd even suggest the almost complete portion should be the same thread. I'm okay with separate though

Think we should incorporate all three phases into this thread.

There's going to be overlap in development and it's easier to capture the builds with photos in one thread as the three buildings will wind up showing up in most photos anyways hah.

It's 6, 8, and 8

The 9 storey number comes from counting an underground parking level along James as there is a floor difference in grade from James to Hughson.

I thought it was 9 because there was a rooftop patio and that's technically a floor?

I'm glad this is being kept at one thread. We keep the Connaught phases is one thread.

Taken today. They've started installing the column wrapping on Augusta. Identical materials used on their project on King.

Not sure i like that seam on the column there, I hope that is filled to be seamless - I like the concept of the pillars seeming like one giant stone slab

Looking good so far though! Hopefully that stucco finish won't have to be redone too quickly as it ages...

Just drove by and the pillars look good ... blend in nicely with the stone work of the building next door
