Brooklyn, NY

Not in any way a comprehensive tour, mostly just downtown Brooklyn and Brooklyn Heights on my way from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station.

This concludes my tour...

...out to the Howard Beach Station to JFK.

I like.

I wish a had a few million extra dollars to get one of those homes on the Promenade.

So what takes you to Brooklyn?

This is probably one of the better photos threads I've seen of some of Brooklyn gems. If I ever had the opportunity to live in this borough, I would go in a heartbeat.

If all the other boroughs vanished... and only Brooklyn remained of NYC... it'd still be one of the greatest cities in the country. That's amazing to me... what also is amazing is your photog skills Stepper!

My younger sister was coming back from Italy on foreign exchange and the group flew into NYC. I came out to meet her and we stayed for a few days before flying home. I went to Brooklyn on my way to airport to meet her.

I've been to Manhattan before, but, I really wanted to see some of Brooklyn this time. I had no idea what to expect and it certainly exceeded any expectations I could have had. I was surprised to learn (though others may not) that Brooklyn is not only the most populous borough, but, it's bigger than Manhattan by over 900,000! That's pretty incredible.

Thanks! You get one big accolade! heehee~

This is my borough, my home borough, born and raised, the largest borough of my city. Yes, in terms of population BKLYN is the largest.

I will probably be making about the same walk when I cross the Brooklyn Bridge on my visit to Manhattan.

I love this building. I guess it's stuff like this that must have given Richard Rogers & co the idea of putting lifts, stairs etc on the outside of buildings for stuff like the Pompidou Centre and the Lloyds building.

I also love the shot with all the windows will little scrolls on top, like quiffs.

Not comprehensive? This is an amazing thread. I've never before seen sets like this of Brooklyn. Everything is usually Manhattan.
