"A group of local investors led by developer Brad Byrnes has acquired the shuttered 12-story Hotel RL Baltimore Inner Harbor with plans to turn it into a 130-unit apartment tower."
"Byrnes said Thursday the group will pump $18.5 million into the building at 207 E. Redwood St., his latest effort to transform the street in the city's former financial district."
"The plan for the new multi-family complex includes redesigned hotel rooms that will include studios, and junior one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They will have large windows, tile flooring and "dressing room-sized" closets. All will have modern amenities like washers and dryers and new kitchens."
"The apartment development will use Hotel RL's fitness center, conference rooms and banquet rooms for common amenity spaces that will include a game room and storage space. The hotel's former lobby restaurant will hold a new restaurant, Byrnes added."
