How is it that HRM allows such developments to be built so close to the ROW with such a narrow sidewalk? That looks simply absurd.

Based on the pictures, this doesn't look that bad. Street level and the podium look quite good.

Easily the ugliest tall building in all of Atlantic Canada. Absolute atrocity.

Neither as tall nor as ugly as Fenwick.

It's definitely ugly. I wouldn't say it's the ugliest tall building in ALL of Atlantic Canada though.

It's very disappointing though because it's NEW, large and ugly.

ohh.. that is disappointing. So glad its not in downtown Halifax. You'd never tell from looking at it that its new... looks like an old tower that's been renovated to look mediocre.

Disagree. Maritime Center and Fenwick are much better pieces of architecture by far. Yes... not great... but far far better than this thing. Cogswell is simply inoffensive. This building though is actively offensive. It's like the "designer" went out of their way to make it as cheap, tacky, cheesy, superficial and ugly as possible. Not familiar w/ the Moncton building.

I agree with Takeo. I'd take MC, Fenwick and Cogswell any day over this piece of junk. This is garbage today and will be garbage everyday. The others all had some appeal in their day and reflect trends of that time. This, on the other hand, is why people hate developers. This guy gets more height than anyone else, more density, more units, and doesn't give anything back. Although, to be fair to the developer, as a Schedule Q DA, where materials and design easily could have been written into the contract, City Staff and Council really let this POS happen.

Some of the balconies now have reflective glass on them and look a lot better.

A hair better. Maybe at night in the fog, it would look half decent.
