I would add 56 Leonard Street to that list.

Guangzhou TV Tower might not be seen as a skyscraper by everyone-- although one could think of 10 other planned skyscrapers in China alone that would outdo the towers on that list.

how about you name these 10 other mystery buildings and post images/renderings? then we might have something to discuss.

I'm way too lazy to search around for every great tower, but here's a random selection from some China development threads on SSC;

Binhai Water Buildings, Tianjin

TEDA Tower,Tianjin

Chongqing IFC, Chongqing

CCTV HQ, Beijing

Pearl River Tower, Guangzhou

White Magnolia Plaza, Shanghai

Sino-Steel Plaza, Tianjin

MOCO Centre, Chongqing

Park Hyatt, Guangzhou

ICC, Hong Kong

Haohe Building, Guangzhou

Zovie Plaza, Tianjin

Kingkey Finance Centre Plaza, Shenzhen

Conrad Hotel and Jumeirah Hotel, Shanghai

Sun Valley Project, Chongqing

Shanghai Centre, Shanghai

Guangzhou Twin Towers, Guangzhou

Poly Plaza, Chongqing

Just a very small selection of course. There are currently more than 180 supertalls planned/under construction/built in China, with several new proposals every week. The designs are generally of very high quality too. Add to that the thousands upon thousands of non-supertall skyscrapers in every major/middle sized Chinese city and you're bound to find some awesome stuff all over the place.

In any case, it's a highly subjective matter anyway. And Aqua is a spectacular building. Love it.

This one is being prepped as we speak. Can't wait to see it rise.

Aqua is spectacular when looking up, but looks rather bland and boxy when you view it straight on. At least from what I've seen in photos anyway.

Great gallery, staff. Besides, I think that no city in the world can compete with the quality of mid and highrises built in Beijing over the last 5 years. An endless collection of stunning top quality projects.

I love modern China projects. Top quality. In most countries big projects use to be too conservative and boring, in others they are overdesigned. China normally shows an ideal mid point. Besides, I love the typical Chinese style: Bright glass, sexy silhouette, etc. Fortunately many countries are imitating this 'Asian taste' nowadays, tons of new big proposals in America and Europe look so Asian.

The quantity, quality, and variety of projects in China is actually difficult for the mind to take in. It just staggers the mind.

Makes me look at pretty much any highrise construction in cities outside of Dubai as "small potatoes".
