Also this litlle sentence in the height restrictions seems to me to indicate they are courting Top Golf heavily for this development. probbaly the parcel against the overpass on annunciation.

Amazon Fresh has opened the doors to its second full-size 40,000-square-foot grocery store featuring its Just Walk Out technology in California. The new store at 1610 W. Imperial Highway in La Habra, Calif., is the 10th Amazon Fresh store to open in Southern California.

Just Walk Out technology allows shoppers the option to skip the checkout line. Customers who opt for Just Walk Out shopping can enter the store in three ways: They can scan the in-store QR code in their Amazon app, use Amazon One to scan their palm, or insert a credit or debit card linked to their Amazon account. Each option will open the Just Walk Out gates.

I know I've said it before, but I'm so glad to see developers using the roofs of buildings -- the 710 Canal property. I think New Orleans is a perfect place for these rooftop spaces. This one especially -- what a view of Mardi Gras from the roof.

How can New Orleans public spaces become storm-ready hubs? These architects have some ideas









The examples include:

Interstate 610 at West End Boulevard and its cloverleaf exits, which infamously served as a gathering point during the chaotic days after Hurricane Katrina. The plans envision equipping the exit with a multi-use hub, including a ramp parallel to the exits that could be used by buses, parks around the cloverleafs and biking and walking paths.
The Claiborne overpass where it intersects with the Lafitte Greenway. The project would involve opening up the median of the overpass to allow light to pass underneath, then outfitting the space underneath. That could include retail space, with the understanding it would be converted to community use during storms, along with other potential uses, such as a community garden and market.
The bridge over Bayou St. John at Harrison Avenue. The rendering for this one is slightly more elaborate, though it’s only a proposal. A sleek, redesigned bridge would have multiple community uses, with its location on the bayou lending itself to possibilities such as kayak or rowboat rentals, tied into existing paths along the waterway and City Park. It could include space for cold storage and parking.

It does seem like a few projects that have been on the boards for a few years are moving towards construction. Quick update on some of these.

Two Saints:

The Conditional Use was recorded yesterday and Woodward is the contractor. Should be breaking ground any day now I would think
