damn, another 7 months to go. A 5 year construction project in the modern era is LONG. Some high rises go up in in half that time. The height is obviously a factor here, but this has been a very long undertaking. I'm pretty sure neither Comcast tower took 5 years.
I'm pretty sure it did. Recall Brook Lenfest's (blenfest) posts here about all of the not so wonderful underground surprises they encountered as they excavated the lot.

Lights are on! Saw them being tested, they cycle about every 20 seconds. I even saw the lights on for the base of the pyramid on top of the Mellon Bank Center for the first time in 7 years
Uh oh...lawsuit between subcontractor for the glazing system and Tutor Perini. https://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...ent-hotel.html Doesn't seem like it should cause further delay. Interesting that the article claims October completion when they W's website claims January 2020. The W's own date seems closer to realistic, but maybe we will be pleasantly surprised.

I don't think the blank wall looks as bad as it could. It at least has SOME windows, and I think it will look a bit better too once the full W sign is up on this side. Still, Blenfest, if you are reading, how about some kind of mural? Otherwise, building looking pretty great as it comes closer to completion!
Meh, I guess it's about par with the back side of PSFS.

The only disappointment for me is that I didn't quite understand until the building was virtually finished that from east/west views, the building is a slab/perfect rectangle.
