The convention center hotel is under construction. Sorry for the crappy wiring in the window.

They we're suppose to post new renderings a couple weeks ago since the ones originally posted were inaccurate. But I have not seen anything yet. Anyone have any current renderings?

I haven't seen the new renderings either which were supposed to be out by now. Maybe they are sticking with the old ones posted on here. Its still up on the Spokane pfd website.

New CC Hotel Rendering

Slight changes to the facade and patio seating. It looks a lot like the last renderings.

That's a bit better. Looks like they added a sidewalk dining area?

Glad to see this getting off the ground and some new major construction downtown! Also impressed with the effort @ the Ridpath. Great idea. Now if the Vox tower would come back....

I'm working a temp job in the US Bank building today. I snapped this pic of the CC Hotel site from a 7th floor stairwell:

I came across this recently. Im not sure what building this is or if/when its supposed to be built/updated, but it looks like a slick design for Spokane.

I can tell that's the parking lot next to revival lighting.

Kendall Yards Grocer and New Hotel name

A couple of big things should be formally announced soon. Looks like within the next 30 days the new grocery store at Summit and Monroe will be announced. Looks like it will be about 15,000 square feet which would be on the large side of most trader joes, but that certainly seems most likely at this point. Additionally, all indications are that the new convention center hotel will be a four star Marriott. That should be a great brand for downtown. Obviously a Westin would be even better but who are we kidding?

Looks like there are some new renderings of the new hotel in today's Spokesman. I also noticed updated photos on the PFD website. The original renderings showed what looked like a red brick facade. It now looks like some sort of white\gray paneling. In my humble opinion is that the brick renderings look a lot more visually pleasing and the new rendering reminds me more and more of the Davenport Tower. So I am a little disappointed. But as I always say.....it still beats a parking lot .

I do like the second floor outdoor dining area (I think that is what I am seeing anways)......that is something that Spokane needs more of.

Does anybody know if there will be any other retail as part of Worthy's new hotel? Specifically, anything on Main ave? There is an aerial rending of the new hotel on the PFD website (sorry I do not know how to post pics directly). Its easy to forget the backside of the hotel. To me it looks like it will just be just the parking structure facing Main (for the whole block). Even on Bernard and Washington for that matter. It would be nice to have something a bit more pedestrian friendly back there.
