Mill Ave/Hayden Ferry Live Stream

Ever wonder what Limelight Networks does? Internet streaming is a big part of what goes on here. I have setup a test stream for HTTP streaming that points out a window looking over the Mill Ave/Rio Salado intersection, from the 7th floor of the Tempe Gateway building. You can view it via a browser here:

http://exactpixel.com/test/llnw/osmf...ngtermtest.f4m

Or via your iOS or Android device here:

http://longtermtest.bulkget.cshls.ll...gtermtest.m3u8

I intend for the stream to stay up on going - so as the new Hayden Ferry building goes up, we'll see that too.

Enjoy!

nice. if it ends up taking too much bandwidth you could do what was done on OKCtalk with the Devon tower. They had a camera take a photo every minute, then at the end make a cool time lapse video.

I noticed the HLS (iOS streaming) portion of the stream died tonight - so we'll look into that tomorrow.

Bandwidth isn't an issue - we're a CDN and have many terabits per second of network egress. Plus, we need to be able to scale properly to handle massive live streaming events in HD. Fun stuff to be involved with!

I'm going to try to get an HD stream up and running here in the next few days - but as you can tell, this is fresh in development and we still have some wrinkles to iron out.

We can also see the other tower crane in Tempe (Veteran's project) - but can't see much since a parking garage is blocking whatever is going on at ground level at the moment. I may get a second cam on that once something interesting can be seen.

Flip Mr. Burns to the other side of the camera so he isn't blocking the Mill. He can block that parking lot instead.

Then, get a Homer doll and write: "What are you going to do? Release the dogs? or the bees? or the dogs with bees in their mouth so when they bark they shoot bees at you?" j/k

Homer: ... well do your worst!

Burns: *closes door, locks it*

Homer: He locked the door on me! Well, I'll show him! *rings doorbell and runs away*

It's ridiculous that I know how much of that scene went on queue like that.

Hahaha, IMO nothing is funnier nor "beats" classic Simpsons.

I forgot about him running over Bart's bike as he pulled up. LOL
