7 stories sounds pretty good for that spot. Should be a nice one.

Not too shabby. I doubt the orange will make it past the DRP (probably for good reason, can't think it would look good as precast or stucco) but this is exactly the massing of what we need along the entirety of the LRT corridor outside of the Downtown.

The orange makes it look like a best western in south Florida

Seems like the City likes this one. It is recommended for an Environmental Remediation and Site Enhancement (ERASE) grant and the request will go before the GIC on the 12th.

Who's the developer here? Any indication whether they'll proceed without LRT?

Likely just demolition for now - though I would love to be proven wrong!

They've not started demolition yet, but they have dug a big hole in the parking lot. Progress!!!

Went by here today. Looks like there is already a hole in the ground here. Not sure if it's just remediation or what is going on. Went by pretty quick so didn't get a good look.

Probably just digging out the old foundation of the building. You usually need shoring first before digging.

Drove by today and saw a shoring rig on site I believe.

I'm assuming this is a rental building, since there's no pre sales? Is there a name for this development?

The lane of traffic on Main East closest to this site has been blocked off, but still no sign of anything but an excavator, nor any digging that has begun yet. Hopefully that means something substantial is beginning this week.
