Current specs are putting Echo Brickell at 750 feet, but we've seen renderings that indicate they might be trying to get approved to go taller with it because the building is almost completely sold out already.

A new (actually a resubmittal of an old boom era submission) tower: The Chelsea (1550 Biscayne Blvd). 52-floors, 647 feet tall. Mixed use: 23 stories of condo's on top of an office tower. The site is across the street from the Omni mall and whatever Genting ends up building on that site.

In other news, yet another west Brickell project is in the works: the 8-story 421 unit Broadstone Brickell is coming to 145 SW 13th ST west of the Metrorail tracks.

One of those "human scale" projects that add tons of density:

Cool. Finally some more projects aside from the regular condo offerings. Hopefully they don't just develop Brickell but also the rest of the city from its suburban-like characteristics.

The old Beacon at Brickell Village (across the street to the south of Brickell CityCentre) may finally return from the dead after being emroiled in a several years long foreclosure suit:

Developable Brickell area land in foreclosure and linked to bankruptcies, has offer

BY INA PAIVA CORDLE
ICORDLE@MIAMIHERALD.COM

A Miami-Dade bankruptcy judge will decide at a hearing July 10 on the sale of developable, vacant land in the Brickell corridor. The offer on the property, at 30 SE 8 St, 18 S.E. 8th St and 830 SE 1 Ave., in Miami, is for $19.5 milliion.

The proposed purchaser is Crystal Tower on Brickell Plaza, managed by Omar Botero. The $19.5 million exceeds the value of mortgages on the properties, which are in foreclosure, according to a 30-page motion filed in U.S. Bankrupty Court in Miami.

The properties are owned by Chapter 7 bankrupt entities Beacon at Brickell Village and Beacon Developer Partners, linked to developer Renzo Renzi and his brother Pasquale Renzi.

Broadstone Brickell

The Broadstone Brickell renderings don't seem to show any ground floor retail. Does anyone know if that block is strictly residential?

Im pretty sure both the Tishman proposal and the Portman proposal for the convention center site keep the Gleason Theatre, and revamp it.

You can specifically see it in this video, actually being added to a bit.

Is this the truth or are you being sarcastic? It's so hard to tell on this website!

A bunch of projects going before the UDRB on July 17th. Zaha Hadid's One Thousand Museum and a re-incarnation at the Element site among them. Plus a new CBD tower called "River Tower"

The one-sided 550-foot buildings Related is putting at the old Element site on NE 31st Street in Edgewater. Designed by Arquitectonica of course.

http://exmiami.org/index.php/arquite...minium-towers/

Related's new 550-foot tall "Element"

typical arquitectonica bland stucco walls and exposed hallways on the back side of the building:

More proof that the "city" doesn't matter? Only views and garages...

Another day, another tower. Here is River Tower. Another western CBD building. Not the most lovely location (surrounded by an FPL substation, I-95 and its ghastly on-ramps)
