Wow. HUGE improvement, IMO. Visually they have cohesion, and an organic flow upward. The original designs were awkward at best, but these are very, very nice. I hope these move forward.

Podium also looks like toilet paper.
I honestly sense a total icon for Toronto for decades, if not centuries in that 'toilet paper' if it ever gets real. Get your facts, your CN Tower is annoyingly gross compared to this surreal thing.

Okay then...

I never said it wasn't going to be iconic. It's super ugly though, and thats my opinion.
and I like the CN tower. Much better than having the largest hydroelectric tower in the world.

This past weekend I went to Toronto for the first time since 2003, and I have to say the change in the skyline is incredible. Glassy new high-rise condos for as far as the eye can see... lining all the highways, following the lakefront, even outside of the city in Mississauga and Vaughan. Incredible. Any worries about a housing crash?

On a side note, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the city. Great food, great beer, great coffee, and great people. Truly an under-rated North American city.

Thanks Softee.
Since I don't go to Toronto that often I try to get as many pictures as possible when I'm there. I got all the construction sites in Toronto that were in this database and it did get a little overwhelming.
I'm finally down to my last 40 pictures.
I post pictures here that don't have their own thread in the highrise construction or highrise proposal section. So if you can't find a project in those sections, it should be posted here.

Fly Condominiums at Front Street West between Spadina Avenue and Blue Jays Way. 24 floors, 82.4m.

Downtown Condominium on Wellington Street West at Portland Street. 11 floors, 35.7m.

Queen Richmond Centre West at Richmond Street West and Peter Street. 16 floors, 72.5m.

45 Floor Tower to the East of Yonge and Dundas Square

From AlbertC at UT
Due to the Condo Slowdown Don't expect any of the Toronto Condo Proposals to go into Sales Production for at least 3 to 5 years.
