Thanks for the pics. We used to live in this area before relocating to another province. Interesting to see how things are developing...

Hemlock Square Phase 3 is now under construction. This could be for a McD's that looks like it fits in spot L001 on this map:

I was inside the unit behind CIBC a few weeks ago, and the plans show that it will be Second Cup in one unit, and Boom Burger in the other.

Cresco Holdings is applying to move some its allocated density from Bedford West (near the interchange) to its undeveloped lands adjacent to Starboard Place in Hemlock Ravines. The 118 units to be transferred would be used towards smaller single-family lots (34' wide) and an additional ~90 unit (~6 floors) apartment building off of Starboard Drive.

In exchange the multi-unit building approved on Larry Uteck Boulevard West (which BTW should be under construction now) will be converted to parkland overlooking the large wetland/brook at the interchange.

I live in Starboard Place and they came through our unit today doing a pre blast survey. Blasting will be for the road construction connecting Starboard Drive.

^ Good to hear. The road network up there right now is ridiculous! Hopefully this will get the Royale Hemlock residents off of the Bedford Highway and onto the Bi-Hi. Same goes for the Nine Mile connection on the north side into Oceanview/Paper Mill.

Any updates on Hemlock Square, Dellridge Plaza, or the other side of the interchange?

Kiel Developments will be constructing the multi-unit building at 76 Armenia Drive. They are trying to get their construction permit in place. The building will be 70-units / 6 floors.

And the award for the least surprising news in 2013 goes to ...

McDonald's has finally confirmed that they will be opening a location in Hemlock Square this spring. Construction is underway now and the store will open in April or May.

Also if you need a caffeine fix Second Cup is opening in Dellridge Plaza on Wednesday.

Ariel photo of Dellridge Plaza probably from this summer.

Source : CBRE

CBRE has the following list for tenants ; Shoppers Drug Mart, CIBC, Second Cup, BOOMburger, Kids & Company, Moksha Yoga, The Parlour, Spa Chappelle, PT Health, and H&R Block.

According to the site plan the retail portion is built out and only one building remains which is slated to become a hotel. No specifics are known about this.

CherryBerry Frozen Yogurt Bar and Goji's Frozen Yogurt both opened this weekend just across the blvd from each other.

At least the weather is warm and sunny for January to enjoy a frozen yogurt (and snows gone, grass is green etc.)

The one thing I don't like about this plaza is the CIBC. The entrance is really confusing!

My friend Greg is the owner/pharmacist for the Shoppers up there. He took a big risk opening up so early and wasn't sure how well it was going to go - but he's doing better now.
