The new draft Regional Plan has been released. Hidden deep down in the massive report is site-specific requests. Staff is recommending this one be prioritized for consideration since it is on a planned BRT route.

70 Lacewood Drive (PID 00296806).
Corner of Lacewood Drive and Glenforest Drive.

Request by Fathom studio, on behalf of the property owner, to enable the development of a 8 storey mixed-use building containing 110 units, and a 18 storey mixed-use building containing 190 units.

Total Proposed Units: 300

Is this intended to replace the existing retail plaza?

I wonder about the retail plaza as well. Fitness FX recently moved in to what I thought would be their new long term location. Not that the retail plaza is anything special, it would just suck for them to have to move locations again.

I thought they got booted from the Quinpool/McDonalds building due to the ultimate fate of demolition on that site in the future
