Great overview of a city I've yet to visit. Is there a big nasty rivalry between Calgary & Edmonton? I definitely hope to visit as I love Canadian cities, but you really have to specifically go to Edmonton to visit. Not many folks happen to be just passing through, unless they're going to Jasper I suppose!

Nice pictures! That modern house in the picture before the bridge under construction looks like something I would see in the Niagara Region, especially Fort Erie.

Canadian taverns seem to have predictable draft lists. Bars anywhere have Guinness, of course, but it seems like every place in Canada has Magner's. Steamwhistle seems to be the Sam Adams or equivalent in Canada. There are a couple locals beers on tap, too. I bet Alexander Keith's, OV, and Molson Export are out of frame.

^that particular bar has 50+ beers by the bottle/can as well and is more cocktail bar than Taphouse.

Nothing like Edmonton in the fall. The smell of wet leaves in the morning is my napalm... Hope the patio season continues a few more weeks... At least! Heard it's sposda be a La Nina year so that means cold and wet winters generally speaking...

Edmonton was my last pre-pandemic trip (February 2020) and I was pleasantly surprised.
