as a montrealer, the downtown is to be envied and coveted, the inner-city residential areas to be slightly pitied... well, that's too harsh, but they're something to be forgiven a bit. they're charming and pretty, but you need that layer of 3-4 storey attached, buit-to-the-curb walkups in my view. still, that downtown... damn -- and it's just getting better.

Great shots, thanks for reposting them so I could see them again as they are very pretty photos. Did you by chance visit Toronto this year on the way to Hamilton?

Wonderful pictures, flar!

Thank you for sharing them with us.

Toronto is a wonderful city, and your pictures show it perfectly.

Where did you take the last picture from? It seems to be very far away from Toronto. Nice sharpness and brilliant colours!

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Nice pictures. I don't remember many of these; are some previously unshown?

Is that Mississauga in #16?

Only #4 is new, the rest are from the 7 or 8 Toronto threads I did while I lived in Hamilton.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get many new pics of Toronto since I moved to Ottawa. I either pass through on the highway or fly in and out for meetings (it's only a 40 minute flight from Ottawa). I may be going to Toronto in November to do a presentation, I'll see if I can stay overnight and get some new shots.

I'd recognize that Bombardier Q400 anywhere! Did you get your fill of shortbread?

Well done. Seeing older photos of my own city even makes me nostalgic. The growth is impressive, seeing the change throughout the years to the skyline and dynamic urban fabric. Cabbagetown is one of my favourite areas in the city. Such a collectively well maintained Victorian neighbourhood. Always a beautiful place for urban photography.

That looks an awful lot like a certain pianist from Toronto
