I'm currently working on tracking everything in a spreadsheet and eventually colour-coding the models, but I'm in no rush to do that right now.

I try to be as accurate to height as possible. As for the actual girth of the towers, sometimes it is not as accurate, since most architectural packages do not include any useful dimensions for the size of the floor plates or podiums. Some may appear bigger or smaller than what they will be in reality. I do try my best to work off of the promotional images as well if there is no drawings package, so there is often some loss in accuracy.
Where did you get the massing for the three towers at Main and Caroline?

I went off of the only rendering that was released and did the best I could. I'll be updating it accordingly when more renderings and documents become available.

flat. that's how Hamilton will be described. it's disgusting that this is allowed to happen. The roofline of any building in the city should have thought and care to prevent it looking flat. It's sad enough we have a height restriction, the least that could be done is approve better MPH designs - steps, spires, anything other than a flat box. Hamilton has the opportunity to stand out. Landmark place should not define our skyline - its disgraceful. Hamilton needs one defining piece of modern architecture. Lets build that!

Not that I disagree, but I'll wait until more of these ~30 storey buildings start getting topped out, especially in areas of downtown that haven't seen much activity, before I'm critical of the creation of a tabletop skyline.

Yup. Right now Hamilton only has a handful of buildings at that height anyway.

Also, remember that the height limit has already been broken by Television City. It won't be around forever.

Coming down the Jolley Cut this afternoon, and good to see all those cranes up and working - must be those most the city has ever had up in downtown in any stretch in history.

It's more than possible to do - I've actually looked into it extensively and I'm currently working on a way to generate large chunks of 3D OSM that I can put the buildings onto afterward. I'm still trying to figure out how to make the OSM models generate the way I want them to, and figuring out how to streamline the process so I can make it work with all of my models.

It's actually just sheet metal covering. There's an old historic building underneath it, which this new development will be incorporating.

It's not totally clear if it's going to be demolished, or the brickwork transferred to the new facade. But yes, the structure behind the brick will be no more.

They may do a Toronto where the facade is held up, but the structure behind is removed, but honestly that is a lot of work and money. I don't see Hamilton getting treatment like that.
