I was going through the pics in the thread on Sydney & have to say many cities throughout the world are quite impressive...they surprise me in ways that make me understand why a knowledgable world traveler will have very high standards.

the manmade environments in an LA, sydney or europe all set the bar high in their own way, but something about LA's light, which has been described by ppl in film & photography, seems more intense than it is elsewhere....even in a city like sydney with a climate closer to LA's than it is to a NYC or london.

EDIT: I was curious enough to look up some descriptions of what I was referring to...
