Ditto Rico. Lovely shots. I sure do miss BC (having lived there in 1994-1998, and for part of 2009).

Thanks for the kind words everyone

My BC adventure continues, this time on Vancouver island near Tofino (November 1st). Truly, British Columbia is Canada's most beautiful province.

Meadowvale Station Woods Fall
1-8 taken on November 2, 2021
9-27 taken on November 4, 2021

Not being able to drive anymore or even ride a bike anywhere because of seizures, and not so eager to get onto the crowded buses of the industrial routes of Mississauga with COVID still spreading, so trying to find new photo opportunities closer to home, but also capture the colours of autumn as well which I've never really done so much. It was a weird year not just with all the health concerns but also the very warm or late fall, or extended summer. I am not sure if it helped to bring out the full beauty of this woodlot at 401/2nd Line West. I will let you guys decide.

Not enough reds this year in the fall foliage around the GTA and probably all of S. Ontario. Possibly due to that extended warmth. That's a pretty standard forest, but regardless of whether peak colours were reached, it's always going to look nice at that time of the year.

Keep the great pictures coming. Reminds me of the old days of SSP, when the place was mostly about skyscrapers (really!), urban development and photo threads.

Yeah, more reds would have been nice. I've seen the ground covered with fallen green leaves in another park, foliage almost gone but still green, which doesn't seem normal either.

But I remember one year when it was so dry, almost no rain, the leaves just withered and turned brown and fell. No yellow or orange or red or anything. This year we got rain at least so it was not a bad year.

Btw, if you guys feel my photos take up too much space in this thread or cause it to take too long to load, I will edit the post to reduce the size of the pictures, no problem. This is not my own thread, this is a thread for multiple people to post, so maybe I should have been more careful.

^It's the time of the year when that last photo was likely taken close to 4 PM, which is nearly sundown for us up north in Edmonton.

Some shots from my trip to Waterton NP last week. Sorry for the dust on the lens. Blowing snow does that. One thing that you see is how close the fire came to wiping out the whole town. Apperently they were prepared to fight the fires then the wind shifter just as it reach the edge of town.

I stayed in that hotel once. A unique experience to say the least! Waterton is a gem. The Rocky Mountains National Parks attractive but unassuming little sister...........

They were very lucky the fire didn't get to that. You can see the line in the photos how close the fire came. Bare trees just above the town.
