MINNEAPOLIS | 240 Hennepin | 244 FT | 20 FLOORS

This one is back from the dead...a project very similar was proposed for the site before the housing market crash, now the developer is bringing it back! This site is across the street from the new Whole Foods in dowtown Minneapolis.

Looks too dark & gloomy. The area if I remember has a few vacant parcells. Any chance they change it a little? Lighter colors, more height? Is there going to be some Low-income residences?

11/22.

Excavation beginning, looks to be focused on relocating fiber lines at this point. Getting ready to start piling.

It's time to move this from the proposals forum.

11/25.

Pile-driving and drilling now in progress! I would guess that the drilling is for a secant wall for the excavation rather than caissons for the building itself.

12/5.

Most of the piles are in, looks like the drill rig is done with its share and is now waiting for excavation to catch up to start caissons. Excavation getting going full steam. 5 excavators now on site, and a pretty decent queue of trucks waiting to load up.

RBC Gateway has about a 5-month head start on this project, but has an extra 16 floors to build. It's pretty realistic that these projects could top out within a few weeks of each other... Will be pretty cool to watch them go up directly across from each other!

SSP doesn't consider site work, including excavation, to be "under construction." Once they start drilling caissons, it will get moved to U/C.

Does it really matter? I think we need more movement on the site you keep trying to reprimand me on.
