It actually looks like they are working rebar for the next core floor when they haven't even poured the below floor yet, but they will do it tomorrow.

There probably pouring the core tomorrow, but in the meantime they are already pre setting the rebar for the floor above that. Also noticed they added a new attachment to one of the small cranes which was interesting. But jeez this crane really is taking its time. They are really dragging the suspense it seems, good thing FMC is rising like rag weed.

Maybe there won't be a third Comcast tower?

That is only a 9 story building expanding their already-existent Atlanta presence. I don't think that it would kill any plans for a 3rd Philly tower. Not to say that there definitely will be a 3rd tower, but if there isn't, it won't be because Atlanta stole it from us.

The idea of this tower/building is to create a larger presence in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Comcast already employs 4,000 in Atlanta so this tower will by no means be taking employees from Philadelphia, just taking the top 1,000 from the Atlanta area and putting them in a new office next to SunTrust Park. I wish Comcast would do something this but more entertainment at the Sports Complex in South Philly. The area would be much more desirable if it was somewhat similar to LA Live (theatre, retail, entertainment) more than Xfinity Live. Philly seems to be a city that controls a lot the media in the US (NBC, Time Warner) which controls the broadcasting of these events. This shows that Philly could have the potential to hold a lot of very important events like award shows, large concerts like iHeart Radio festival and really important conventions (even though Philly has DNC and The Pope coming)

This is completely unrelated to anything in Philly. Comcast already had a presence in Atlanta, and this is merely an expansion of their presence down there. Comcast now also has a major presence in Connecticut (Comcast Sportsnet), NYC (NBC), Florida and Los Angeles (Universal).

Any expansion on the corporate or tech levels will likely occur in Philly.

I was right they are pouring the core today! Also noticed they started putting up forms for the two concrete box pillars that you can see in the interior rendering, these things are going to be huge.

Maybe, maybe not. All that is known is that the 1,000 top executives/employees for Comcast in Atlanta will be moving to this building
