Apologies for the blurriness! I'll start sharing more regular updates for CITC from this vantage point now that it's really humming along.

Awesome pics everyone. Especially like the ones from the stadium complex.

In that last one posted by Summers, do we have a new contender for ugliest building in the city? WTF is that garbage?! Seems like it was taken from Millennial Hall perhaps? What cruel irony for the people who live in what I consider one of the best modern buildings in the city to have their views of Center City marred by that pile of shit!

I admit I'm unfamiliar with that building. Strictly speaking, as a structure, I've seen much worse. As a color scheme, it's repulsive. I would hope they choose to repaint or reclad the exterior envelope. Both however seem unlikely since it appears to be a new building.

edit: awesome pics summersm343!

Looks like a Michael Graves building, including the color scheme. Far from ugly in my opinion, because I find Michael Graves' aesthetic fascinating.

UPDATE: it IS a Michael Graves building! And I learned that Philadelphia has more than one!! This Drexel one, a Temple one, the Novacare complex, and that hideous addition to Bellvue on Broad Street.

I couldn't agree more. I spend lots of time at HUP and that section of the city has some nasty buildings. The Children's Seashore House at CHOP is another winner.

Appears to be some kind of stress testing or pre-loading of atrium beam - perhaps before the glass panels are measured and installed? If you look at the bottom of the entrance there are a whole set of green barrels hung from the beam.

Or maybe when the customers find out their Cable Bill is the CORRECT amount to pay, they can come out and use these as punching bags! and under your breath saying "I will not pay that bill amount, I will not pay that.....etc. etc.
Hell why not? They did away with the 3 story slide. (I bet the slide was suppose to be for irate customers complaining about their Bill. Someone from Comcast would be paid to be the "Bouncer" and throw them down the slide.

(Oh man, I have too much time on my hands!)
