Bye bye parking lot.
Good news, I like this building and have been waiting for it to start construction.

Looks like it'll still be 495' to the top of the mechanical from the drawings dated 09/19/16.

In 2014 we were at 504' 10" to the top of the mechanical, which was screened by building facade at that time.

It's only about 10' shorter.

Slight modifications, not a redesign.

Looks like they reduced the amount of parking as well as eliminated the hotel ballroom.

Also the second floor won't be an active amenity level which is a bummer. And a garage entrance on Halsted? Mixed results here: some good and some bad

Also, how do we know that any of these will be public parking spaces? Sounds like it's all hotel and residential parking, which counters LVDW's point

We're likely still months away from Halsted getting started, right?

^ Nice. I assume it's residential which is good to see in the loop especially at the expense of a little parking garage. Reminds me of the Roszak design that was proposed for Harrison and Clark.

The ground floor will have a bar serving coffee and smoothies during the day and craft beer, cocktails and wine in the evenings. Upstairs is the kitchen and main dining room, which will be open all day serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on the weekends. The restaurant also has a private dining room and will offer catering and, most likely, delivery.
I also have heard that retail spaces along Wells in the Gallery building have already been leased.

I thought it looked like own of their projects too, so I checked their website, and sure enough...

http://www.roszak.com/#/south-wells/

I thought with Linea finishing up they might be starting on the Clark/Harrison project next, but I'm guessing they were never able to buy the garage from the current owner.

I'm really happy with this though – love these residential projects they're bringing to unexpected parts of the Loop.

The more residential in the Loop the better.

Bye bye parking lot.
This is a nice building. It will add to what is becoming a skyscraper canyon as you drive past downtown on 90/94.

Whoops – I was pretty tired when I found that so I missed that. Plus it looked a lot like their recent apartment projects, and tech office amenities look a lot like new apartment building amenities (not by coincidence).

Still happy with this though – those low-slung garages on Wells have always bugged me.
