I visited the hip hop museum at it's current location (not far from here), so will be excited to see its permanent home open.

^The empty lots are biting the dust at a clip pace but there's still plenty left. You know things will have really turned the corner when the one/two family crap from the eighties and nineties, much of which was built immediately following the fires/moonscape era, will start to be bought out and replaced with midrise buildings - a full circle if you will.

What's being seen in Mott Haven is nothing short of fantastic. I hope the architecture of the developments continues to improve.

^ actually i hope the sfh built back then and through the 1990s stay around because that is solid home ownership and home ownership is a huge, huge important thing for the central bronx.

there is plenty of room for more apt buildings for the foreseeable future, including some old crap that could be redeveloped.

i did go by the la central development in the hub where i used to work some on days for decades -- and it is an incredible change around there. still a big lot just to the north to fill there too. it used to be parking lots and now its primed for even more developments:

^ The issue with that is its the SFH homeowner that once land value and demand become lucrative enough are fairly eager to accept a generous developer buyout and move to a better house in the city or burbs or high tail it to Florida.
