That was the most fun I've had all day.

It's much cleaner than I expected. It doesn't have the grit I expect of cities near the Med/Adriatic.

Looks like such a great city to wander around as a pedestrian.

You're not wrong, I spent hours getting purposely lost and every random street I strolled down was a joy. It's an incredible, stunningly unique place and I urge anybody going to Europe to make it a priority.

IF you're fit, climb the Duomo as well.

Awesome photos.
One of my all-time favorite cities. Florence is unbelievable. I visited in 2007 (photo thread: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=135451)

Lovely. Notice that even wild cats aren't scared in there.

They don't give a crap. That's great.

Also just got back from this beautiful city. Florence is fantastic. To witness all the arts and cityscape that are influenced by a single family is simply amazing.

Anyone who has lived in Italy understands that to be away from La Bella Italia is to miss Her terribly. More than just a great thread. I had clicked on my "Il Postino" soundtrack, which was appropriate for getting lost in each pic.

Perfectly scaled city. Sacrilegious on this site perhaps, but I'd take this over a 100 shiny new skyscrapers any day.
