That is about as standard as a staircase gets. Looks completely normal to me.

There will be a block wall between the two stairwells.

It’s an extremely common configuration as you can fit both your staircases in the space of 1 staircase. And yes, it meets code.

There called scissor stairs and are very common. You just don't notice them in a building once the wall between them are built.

I actually think it looks like it's turning out quite well. Lets wait for it to be finished first, but it has brick and decent aluminum paneling. Far better than CityHousing's new building out by the Red Hill
