It was hard to tell because I wasn't that close to the site but I think it's taller just so the boom could swing over the other crane.

I drove by on my way to work this morning and I think your right, it appears the booms would cross paths.

A quick cell phone picture a friend of mine snapped from down on Waverly Road near Red Bridge Pond at sunset while he was out on deliveries earlier tonight!

Nice pic. Say hello to Dartmouth's second skyline

The Horizon 3 tower will round this out so well when complete too.

The amendments are moving along. The notice of motion will be brought forward on December 12th which will put the public hearing in January/February.

The public hearing for the amendments will be held January 9th, 2014 @ 6pm @ Alderney Landing (Dartmouth Chamber).

At least for this particular project we don't have to wait a long time before construction begins. They don't even have final approval yet and they must be working on the 2/3 floor by now!

Yep they're up to the third floor at the eastern part of the site. Work has been going quite quickly here.

They have the luxury of stopping at the permitted 7 floors if the amendments don't pass. I had to go back a page to remember why they could build without final approval. (I just thought I should point this out for others who might be wondering )

Update photos. It appears [I]The Albro[/I is the focus right now and The Banook will be completed afterwards. Both photos by me.

Looks like the buildings won't be visible from Halifax.

^"Halifax Peninsula & Downtown Dartmouth" as defined by SSP is the Regional Centre which is anywhere's inside of Highway 111 and the Halifax Peninsula L.U.B. so the boundary is the highway shown in photo #1.

Nice step down from the existing buildings. I wonder if that other tower will ever be built.

I drive by this site everyday now. Tower I is topped out and has some windows installed. Work on Tower II has resumed and they are currently pouring floor 2.

The exterior cladding is actually quite nice for this project. It sets it apart from other suburban apartment buildings;
