But yeah, with those 4% commission offers I'm sure these units will be flying off the shelf!

Exciting stuff!

Here is the price list for your shopping convenience:

~$1,350 sqft - $1,750 per sqft

Okan Tower Getting 1,000-Foot Construction Cranes, Utilities Deal Signed

Quote:
Plans have been filed with the Federal Aviation Administration to install two cranes at the Okan Tower construction site in downtown Miami.

The October 5 filing also detailed the permanent height planned for Okan Tower.

The first construction crane is planned to rise 1010 feet above ground, or 1023 feet above sea level.

The second crane is planned to rise 975 feet above ground, or 988 feet above sea level.

A permanent tower height of 893 feet above ground, or 906 feet above sea level is planned, the filing states.

On October 26, the developer completed a deal with the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.

According to the new agreement, Okan Tower will include:

399 residential units
316 hotel rooms
67,588 square feet of office
2,690 square feet of coffee shop
305 square feet of retail
The connection fee is estimated at $666,594.36. There’s also a Biscayne Basin Sanitary Sewer Special Connection Charge of $404,343.46.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the 70-story tower was held in June, and foundation work has been underway since then.

Reason it appears to be stalled, but its not:

" Extra testing of the piling for cement density. Okan surpassed the testing. Piling should be completed by mid April and then the pouring can start. "

I hope not, Miami's bitten off a lot in terms of new towers, as in there are three new tallests U/C but I hope they can all still be built no problem. The demand is there it seems.

Would've expected this to be further along but still hopeful.

The answer is it's stalled for now.

On NOV 21 2022 it was put on hold with a stop work order by the City of Miami. From the looks of it, permits weren't finalized and they said fck it and started drilling. I may be wrong for the specific reason, but what's sure is the permitting is put on hold.

Bummer...

Wonder if it will ever see the light of day. How on earth did they think they were going to get away with that? Sounds like the developers aren't too experienced.

Good grief. This is the first time I've seen this one. What a beautiful building. Hopefully, they can get it built without any changes to the design or it being cancelled.
