Uptown? Never heard there was an uptown in Houston. Whereabouts it refers to?

It's one of multiple skylines in the metro. Development in Uptown started somewhere around 1970 and construction has been particularly notable in the last decade, although there was quite a lot in previous decades. It's a mix of business and residential towers, located on both sides of I-610 about 6 miles west of downtown. As the metro has expanded, Uptown is now considered geographically as the threshold to the inner city.

It's what we old timers call Galleria/Post Oak. "Uptown" is a silly name for it, considering it's not UP in any sense of the word. As AviationGuy said, it's 6 miles west of Downtown. https://www.uptown-houston.com

This is a 13-year-old photo of Uptown. If you've been to Houston, you've most likely seen the Transco (now Williams) Tower. Downtown can be seen in the distance at the far right.

Transco is the building with the beacon on top.
