Christmas lights at VanDusen Botanical Gardens is one of the December highlights in Vancouver.

Inside gardens there is altogether 15 acres of beautiful Christmas lights to see in an area around the beautiful pond.

There are altogether 1 million Christmas lights in all possible sizes and colors.

For kids there is also a nice little carousel to ride.

Every 30 minutes there is a changing lights show around the pond.

While there are no leaves in the trees in December, there is still a lot of green to see.

All things considered, we found it a beautiful event to experience and worth the fairly steep entrance price.

I visited Lynn Lake in 1995 and even back then it felt somewhat abandoned... I can only imagine what it must feel like now.

TBH bit of a stretch to call what I do running. Finished the Tely 10 (10 miles) in 1:41:37. That was right in the middle of the pack. Fastest guy was 49:49 lol

Hey give yourself some credit! For a lot of people that's a fairly challenging distance so if you finished and you weren't last that's an achievement! Very impressed.

A few Halifax photos.

Barrington Street. These blocks show the impact of narrow lots, even though many of the buildings are new. Canada doesn't have a lot of streetscapes like this that consist mostly of narrow 5-8 storey buildings.

Province House grounds, often not captured very well in photos due to the narrow streets and trees

George Street. I think this is about the most flattering picture you could possibly take of those office buildings.

Looks pretty nice actually Sig. But fairly windblown usually the sides of buildings dont have snow on them just flat surfaces.
We're getting a decent dump of snow right now as well.
