Atlanta - from an architecture students perspective
Ok, so to start off, let me say these are pictures from about the last couple years that I've been an architecture student at Tech. They are generally in chronological order of when I took them. Enjoy (hopefully).

So I hope you enjoyed my view of the city, and eventually I will be uploading pics from my exploration of the Atlanta Beltline and more.

So I did walked the Atlanta Beltline in 4 walks over a series of 4 weeks last winter starting at the northern most point and going clockwise. In case you don't know, the Beltline will be a 22 mile loop around the city consisting of parks and transit. Also keep in mind that a lot of progress has actually been made since my taking of these pictures, and that winter is really not Atlanta's best looking season and the lack of green really makes the city depressing.
This post will contain my pictures from my first walk showing the NorthEast corridor of the Beltline. I noticed only the first half of the Beltline is uploaded here, but the rest will be up eventually: http://s1201.photobucket.com/albums/...cpZZ1QQtppZZ24
Also this is not the complete set as I did not think all were good enough or relevant to the thread.

Keep in mind large parts of the Beltline are still very active rail.

I love Atlanta's mix of grit and shininess. I also get tired of people talking about the skyline being spread out. It's three distinct districts: Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead. Piedmont Park (and that crazy beautiful view) is one of the best urban parks in North America. The city also has some of the best graffiti artists.
As for where you would park, I heard they were having that issue with the masquerade, but I don't know what the solution was. I'm not under the impression that the parking situation is having any effect on the park, or its completion.
