They are basically building a few city blocks from scratch. It is pretty remarkable to see, especially given the timing it has occurred. There are now 3 buildings rising (Drexel nursing school, this building, and the residential building on the Lancaster side).

I really wish Schuylkill Yards showed this level of aggressiveness. I fear this project will be complete and we'll still be talking about the possibility of the red building.

This permit was issued on December 30th, 2021. My confusion is that the building that is listed in this thread is 250 feet tall but this permit says the structure is going up FROM 313 feet

Primary Location: 225 N 38TH ST, Philadelphia, PA 19104 i.e. 25 N 38th ST

PERMIT ZP-2021-014341
ZONING

Wait, nvm. This video is two years old. The official uCity Square account tweeted it out this morning, but I guess just as a refresher lol..

I think that 250 feet was initially an estimate based on floor count.

That's not the address of this building.

Integral Molecular doubling its space and headcount in Philadelphia through $10M expansion project

Quote:
One of the Philadelphia region's oldest biotechnology companies is doubling its footprint, and its workforce, in the city.

Integral Molecular began construction this week on its new 50,000-square scientific and operational headquarters at One uCity Square that will allow the company to expand to 200 employees over the next few years.

Founded in 2001, Integral Molecular currently has about 100 employees. It last expanded in the University City section of Philadelphia in 2019 when it opened a 26,000-square-foot research site at 3624 Market St.

The price tag for the new project is about $10 million.

The company’s new office and lab complex is being developed by Wexford Science & Technology and Ventas, in partnership with the University City Science Center. The buildout designed by Strada Architecture is being constructed by Turner Construction and managed by PurePM. Its new space is scheduled to be ready in December 2022.

This looks pretty good. The cutouts are the obvious strongpoints.

Looks like this could turn out better than the renderings since it isn't so flat. I like the way the fins increase in density up to that top corner, and likewise gets flatter toward the far bottom corners.
