Good to hear. We need to provide more amenity to the area and really encourage more variety use in and around.

Have you ever said anything positive?

Improving an area has to start somewhere. The Quarters has a couple awesome redevloments, some momentum with small art collectives, public realm investment.

Will it work to improve the area? Maybe, maybe I'd the other levels of government stepped up and fulfilled their responsibilities for homelessness, mental health and drug addiction.

I agree with Hardhatdan - give it a few more years because this park wasn't meant to be a runaway success overnight.

But no, everyone on SSP wants instant gratification.

Oh boy, what a lame series of comments in this thread. God forbid the city develop public spaces in poorer areas of the city.

Scope - The project is within the scope approved in the project charter.

Description:

As part of The Quarters Downtown redevelopment, the City of Edmonton is working on a new park for the area called Kinistinâw Park. This new park is intended to create a community space for people to gather and to attract further redevelopment to the area.
Latest Update:

Construction has begun and will continue into winter 2021 as weather permits. Construction will resume in the Spring of 2022 with the anticpated ocmpletion for the summer of 2022.
