Great pictures! It looks like a typical Ontario residential area, and I see some hints of Toronto, Hamiton or Dundas, and London sprinkled in. The stone buildings are nice, like in any other Ontario town.

Interesting how that house in #87 has a sombrero for a top.

A city with plentiful bricks, rows and some nice architecture, and I become a fan.

I didn't realize this city is much bigger in terms of population than I expected. It can afford to have it's own NHL team.

These structures are beautiful. I noticed rowhouses featuring horse carriage tunnels, which seem to be common in Ontario, but rare in the states. I love Victorian architecture!

I'm guessing that much of the stone dates from around the 1840s-50s and the brick stuff looks mostly like 1880s to just after 1900.

It's not that big, about 150,000 metro.

Man, so many beautiful homes, not too many cities have that much amazing Victorian architecture in them.

I haven't had much time to gaze at urban photos lately... I'm sure I have much of your work to catch up on. You represent the zenith of this style of "urban documentation"... no frills or gimmicks... but pure streetscapes featuring perfect color and composition. Kingston offers yet another treasure chest to be unearthed by flar.

As I do every two or three weeks, I bump an old thread that deserves another look. Kingston has a wealth of beautiful old homes that are rarely seen.
