MIAMI | Legacy Miami | 690 FT | 51 FLOORS

Quote:
Plans for a cantilevered glass pool that hangs off a deck were unveiled for Worldcenter’s newest tower, called Legacy Miami.

A bar will be located next to the pool. A seven story indoor atrium will be on the same floor.

In a press release, the pool is said to be “Singapore inspired,” likely a reference to the infinity rooftop pool at the Marina Bay Sands towers in Singapore.

The tallest of height of the three towers at Marina Bay Sands is around 57 stories and 679 feet. PR representatives for the developer of Legacy Miami said the new tower will be 50 stories.

It won’t be the only pool deck at the Legacy Hotel. Developer Royal Palm Communities says they will also build downtown Miami’s largest pool deck (totaling an acre) on the top of a five-story podium as part of the project.

Legacy will have an “adult pool” on the deck, one of three that guests can choose from there. The pool deck will also have a large restaurant and bar.

In total, 278 condo-hotel units and 255 hotel rooms are being built

Kobi Karp is the architect, with interiors by IDDI.

Construction is expected to begin in mid-2020.

It looks like it had a spire on the first pic but in the later ones it doesn’t. It would be nice if it did though. Would break the pattern of flat roof condos.

NEW RENDERING OF SKY BAR & ROOFTOP ATRIUM PLANNED ATOP 50-STORY LEGACY MIAMI WORLDCENTER TOWER, WHICH WILL BEGIN CONSTRUCTION THIS YEAR

Quote:
At the top of a new 50-story tower planned at Miami Worldcenter called Legacy, a glass-enclosed atrium is planned – the first of its kind in Miami, developers say.

A newly released rendering shows just how unique the atrium will be.

The atrium will be both a public and private space, marketing material states.

A SkyBar will offer “endless sunsets,” cocktails, and dining.

The atrium will be open to residents and the public while also being rented out for events.

A dramatic, cantilevered glass poll will hang off the edge of the rooftop.

Reminds me of Fhloston Paradise in the movie The Fifth Element.

LEGACY TOWER DEVELOPER HAS FILED FOR FAA HEIGHT APPROVAL, CITY CONSTRUCTION PERMIT
November 2, 2020

The developer of the Legacy Tower at Miami Worldcenter have filed for a construction permit and for Federal Aviation Administration height approval.

The filing with the FAA was received by the government on September 29.

According to the application, Legacy will be taller than any other tower currently at Miami Worldcenter. The tallest height of the Legacy structure is proposed to be 661 feet above ground, or 671 feet above sea level.
By comparison, Paramount Miami Worldcenter across the street topped off at 641 feet above ground.

The construction permit lists a tower height of 50 stories, or 659 feet.

*Mods* We need a Height addition to the thread title of 659 feet.

Thanks !
This whole area is going to be interesting to watch as it develops. It has literally been a No Man's land for decades except for some investment by the Government in the 1980's to stimulate development.

World Center I believe is the 2nd largest private development in the U.S. as well. Its a close call with Hudson Yards over in NY. 20 or 24 million sq-ft comparing the two.

If I recall, the final build out totals is 20 mil-sq ft for World Center. The area has changes so much that its incredible. I just checked out an update on Aston Martin tower, and that's coming out great.

Legacy Miami Worldcenter Inks Utilities Deal: Here’s Exactly What The ‘Iconic’ 50-Story Tower Will Include

(I'm guessing after the construction permits are approved, the tower will break ground.)
(Miami's condo market is on fire, more and more condos are breaking ground Downtown 1st, Natiivo, now this might.)

https://www.thenextmiami.com/legacy-...-will-include/

Legacy Miami Worldcenter signed a utilities deal last week that will allow it to connect to Miami-Dade’s water and sewer lines.

The developer of the 50-story project has agreed to pay a connection charge estimated at $912,649.35 (the actual charge will be based on rates in effect at the time of connection).

According to the agreement, Legacy will include:

265 hotel rooms
290 apartments
11,750 square feet of retail
33,500 square feet of full service restaurant
120,000 square feet of physician’s office
6,750 square feet of house of worship
18,000 square feet of banquet hall
The developers submitted plans for a construction permit to the city in December, but there has been little progress in the past month.

Records show that they are using a private provider for review of the permit, which is more expensive but much faster.

The tower was approved by the FAA in January for a height of 661 feet above ground, which would make it the second tallest at Worldcenter.

Developer Royal Palm Communities completed the purchase of the site in December 2020. At the time, Worldcenter said that the tower would break ground in early 2021.

Legacy Miami Worldcenter is officially getting underway, according to documents filed with Miami-Dade’s Clerk of Courts.

A Notice of Commencement was recorded on August 6 stating that some of the work now beginning includes demolition, earthwork, augercast piles, sheet piling, dewatering, waterproofing and cast-in-place foundations.

A separate Notice of Commencement was filed on the same day stating that construction on a new 50-story tower was underway.

Oh, this is great news. Love this one for the unique crown, and the base has improved over the various iterations.
