Did he mention when he's moving?

He did not give specifics other than he thinks it's soon. I'm not sure if he is allowed to say exactly when perhaps because of an NDA, if that makes sense, I'm not sure if that is something this industry uses for anything or many things. I see him next Wednesday and might just do some better recon..heh. I'll let you know next week for an update. I'm also excited to know when this thing is gonna pop off.

I doubt they'd have an NDA for this kind of thing. It's likely he just doesn't know or forgot. This kind of information usually isn't a secret.

There has been zero activity at this site. The plaza is still completely operational, no tenants have moved out yet. Wonder when this thing gets started.

Just in today in my mail box!!!

"Planted in Hamilton", is a plant-based, gluten-free, and kosher restaurant & bakery has been located, until now at the Corktown Plaza.

Planted is moving to 211 Locke Street South, to the previous home of Brown Dog Bootleg Café.

They plan to open their Locke Street space on or around February 15th.

This is great. Brown Dog has been empty too long. And my wife has discovered she feels better without gluten so I imagine we will be regular customers.

In front of the CoA for a variance.

This apparently has conditional SPA approval, and this variance is looking to reduce the parking ratio from 0.6 per unit to 0.44.

Continuing to creep forward.. when will the actually start construction, who knows..

I believe it was original envisioned (going back to the two tower scheme era) as partially rental and partially condo, but it's now confirmed as 100% condominium.

It's either the north east or south east corner.

I believe we are looking northwest from the corner of Forest and Catherine.

Pumped to portal from Hamilton's Corktown neighbourhood to Toronto's Ontario Line Subway.

Hey guys and gals! I heard from a credible source as I previously mentioned, that next March of 2023, is when the plaza is scheduled for demolition.

Curiously, the laundromat in the plaza has a sign in the front window announcing that they’re closing at the end of June due to the upcoming redevelopment of the property. Not sure why they’re closing so soon if it’s not being demolished until next March.

Maybe they're waiting for the leases to expire? Some places have no reno/demolition clauses so maybe they're just playing the waiting game for them.

(It's a two-minute drive to the McMaster Downtown Centre, for example, but why even tout that as a different, drivable destination than the Hamilton GO Centre given that they're basically a block apart?)
