I've never checked it out. I was on a Ferris wheel practically in front of City Hall that went 2/3 as high.

Until the Peace Tower is finished renovations in 8-12 years, Ottawa has two other observation decks. One is at the top of the Marriot, which used to be a revolving restaurant but no longer revolves. It is now an observation deck and conference space.

The other one is the West-facing lounge on the top floor of the Delta City Centre.

You can see a glimpse of the majestic 401. When you fish the lake/reservoir, you are much closer to the 401. Can't see it but you sure can hear it.

Unfinished, it slightly resembles Moscow's Ostinko Tower. Perhaps that's what your memory is referencing.

I took my pictures in early April and the only tower picture I could find immediately was - early April.

I didn't mean to offend you, your photos, and the time of year you chose to take them.

Precisely. Finished, the CN Tower is far more elegant thank the Ostankino.

I'm starting to see a parallel between Russia and Mordor since the war in Ukraine. That picture further cements it. Putin's eye is watching from the cursed tower above a wasteland of commie blocks.

those commie blocks look extremely grim. Can you imagine back in the day before the Iron Curtain fell? Borscht and boiled cabbage 4 times a day, with Wodka for dessert. And Trollollo man on the tube.

Your description sent a shiver down my spine. As does any mention of this automaton, who must have been dying on the inside:

Glen Eden/Kelso in Milton, when I wanted to see some fall colours.
Yes the Grouse Mountain Skyride in Vancouver has incredible views.

I imagine the view from the Delta must be severely compromised with the addition of the Moon towers.
