I’m also not fond of the stadium area though. It’s a waste of money and opportunity. Basically a way for suburban people to come into the city, park, use city infrastructure, and spend money at sporting monopolies and not at smaller businesses throughout the city. I think that model should be heavily reevaluated.

the average suburban family is not coming into town 2-3 hours before a game for dinner and drinks. This stuff is fantasy, the real world doesn't work like that. Many of these games are during the week, people are coming after they finish work and kids are home from school. Some people just want to go to the game and thats it. Thats all they have time and money for, period. Sports complex is well served by highways and septa, it works and has for a long time. The reality is there arent tons of people that want to live near stadiums, myself included.
