We aren't at the final setback and its December which is when I personally thought it would reach its full height so what would be a more realistic topping out month? (I'm thinking late January)

It's been at the final setback height, they just haven't gone higher than that while they're building out those lower floors, which are the last occupied floors.

We maaaay see T/O by end of Dec or early Jan at this point! Doesn't mean it'll be fully completed, moreso the final beams will soon be up fast once this final part of the 4th tier is done!

yeah no doubt its more important at this point to get the last floors covered and built out before terrible winter weather hits than it is to finish the crown.

^ Awesome view.

The build out of the upper levels continues. The top or highest interior level looks circular in the renderings and models, so I'm interested in seeing that if we can.

The taller this thing gets, the more and more awesome it is. Might end up being my fave skyscraper in the city when it finishes. I can't wait until this thing starts showing up in the background of movies.

One Vandy had the confidence to call itself the pinnacle... well... 270 Park just breached that pinnacle. Hard for a tower to out bulk One Vandy too, this thing is an elegant monster in size. 432 Park looks like 270's elevator shaft in comparison.

Wait until 175 Park crashes the party.

One thing about 270 Park, I think someone asked earlier why we haven't changed the floor count to what is shown in this diagram:

But I said it's because those higher levels aren't really considered "real" floors. They have reached the highest floor level, so in that sense the topping out ceremony was for that.

And technically, as far as city zoning goes, even though the elevator goes up there, they aren't considered floors like the rest of the building. So, it's still at 57 floors (or levels, if JPMC decides to go the route of all the other recent towers). Level 58 is "technically" a roof level, as are the levels above it.

60 floors sounds better than 57.

Still low for such a giant but at least respectable.

Before we can get used to the skyline, we get a new tower taking it's place in the ensemble. Not that I'm complaining. I love it!

In a limited way that term remains correct, since One Vandy still has Midtown's highest spire pinnacle. But they have got to be kicking themselves for not sticking with the original height of 1,514 ft.

Thee Steel Giant grows like a beanstalk in the urban concrete jungle.

One Vandy is still like 4 meters taller than 270 but this tower not only has height but mass.
